Supervision to your benefit.
Pension plans and funds, both their access to activity and their daily operations, are subject to constant supervision by the Directorate-General for Insurance and Pension Funds administrative body that reports to the Ministry of the Economy.
This body is responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements for fund management firms initiating business, and supervising their operations.
Similarly, it is responsible for supervising the requirements that pension plans and funds must fulfil by law. It also acts as a mediator on pension plan and fund and insurance issues.
The directorate has significant responsibilities in private insurance, ranging from controlling the requirements for initiating insurance business to resolving claims filed against insurance firms.
Moreover, as an advisory body, it prepares regulatory plans on the topics in which it is involved.
